Event Class Details
Please join us on the Village Arts Center patio for a demonstration of mixed media sculpture by The San Diego Sculptors’ Guild member Justin Hammond.
Justin will be creating hand-sculpted, mixed media figures based on original dark fantasy narratives. Each piece is developed as part of a larger story, with characters formed through sculpting and various materials.
During the demonstration, Justin will sculpt figures in real time and discuss the process from initial concept and character development to building form and applying materials. His work combines hand-built sculpting methods with a range of mixed media elements.
Come watch Justin construct these figures and see the narrative ideas translated into physical form.
Demonstrations are free and open to the public on three separate dates. Feel free to come and go as you want.
Where to find the demonstration: The Village Arts Center main patio, Balboa Park
